AN EVENING OUT

On Saturday night we enjoyed a treat at a fine restaurant, Shadow of Metekhi . We ate Georgian food, drank Georgian wine and enjoyed some Georgian singing and dancing.

The fortress that overlooks Tbilisi.

The River Mtkvari that flows through Tbilisi.

The communications tower that overlooks the city. A type of railway runs up the hill.
Eggplant with walnuts (eggplant with filling with a pomegranite seed for decoration).

Greek salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, black olives, red sweet peppers and dressing.

Peasant Salad (tossed green salad with red onions).

Khachapuri "Adjaruli" (a baked loaf with cheese, butter and an egg).

Pork Shashlik (deep fried pork garnished with onions).
We also had grilled chicken (Chicken Shashlik -like the pork), Georgian bread and ice cream for dessert (John also had a bowl of soup).

  1. Just viewed this on the computer rather than my phone. The pictures are much more impressive on the big screen! Thanks for the videos too. Please don't blow all of my inheritance on this trip. Thanks.
