THE MARKET PEOPLE

The market is more than fruit and vegetables and a whole lot of other 'what not.' It's a place where people come together to buy, bargain, and sell, and a place to nurture relationships formed over years and years. Women and men come to market to make a living, selling their own products or the products purchased from others.

Just maybe you can read beyond the expressions to see what these men and women have put into the tasks that they are about. God uses all of us to share in a whole community of people who are called to serve others, just as our Lord Jesus Himself served all of the men and women of our world.

While all the produce at the market is interesting, best is the people who buy and sell at the market. I have tried to get a perspective of those people - although some were shy and did not want me to be taking their picture. I hope that you will fall in love with these hard working people of Georgia!

Her husband asked that I come to take the picture. At first she retreated into the back room, but to his urging, she returned and allowed me to take this photograph

It doesn't take much imagination to see the hard work in the faces of these individuals. Even though you don't know them, and others from the country of Georgia, you might take a moment to pray for them all.
