LEIGH YAWKEY WOODSON MUSEUM

The premier bird museum is found right here in central Wisconsin, the city of Wausau (only 35 miles from our home). Each fall they hold a "Birds in Art" exhibition. This year, for the first time, they had on display the 30 some Owen Gromme paintings donated by M&I bank. I have admired Gromme's art for many years. We have a beautiful signed goldfinch print hanging in our bedroom. Judge for yourself.

Wild turkeys are only one of the outdoor sculptures.

The common mallard duck is here frozen in bronze.

Sandhill cranes are elegant even in a sculpture.

A beautiful day, great company, and a WONDERFUL, JOY-FILLED WIFE!
